Terms of Use
terms-beta-1.1Clear boundaries make a softer place possible.
These Terms cover the parts of PosMeet members actually use: Community, Circles, hosted voice rooms, Private Journal, Journey, safety tools and private feedback.
Adults only
The current PosMeet beta is for people aged 18 and over.
Peer support, clear boundaries
Connection is welcome; sexual solicitation and random anonymous chat are not.
Your words stay yours
You grant only the licence needed to run, display and protect the service.
Anonymous still has rules
A pseudonym protects public identity, not abusive or unlawful behaviour.
Not yet the public-launch contract
Agreement and beta status
By joining the limited beta, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Community Standards as one versioned policy package.
If you do not agree, do not create or continue using an account. The sign-up screen must show the exact versions in effect and PosMeet must retain a reliable receipt of that choice. A material change—especially one affecting health data or member safety—may require you to review and accept a new version before contributing again.
The Web Beta is an unfinished test service. Features may change, pause or be removed. Beta status does not reduce PosMeet’s duty to describe current behavior accurately or protect sensitive data.
Read the Community StandardsThe examples there are part of the conduct rules for posts, replies, images and rooms.Who may use PosMeet
The current product is designed for an adult sexual-health support community.
- You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to agree to these Terms.
- You may join if you live with HSV, HIV or HPV, are seeking general peer support, or are an ally who respects the people and purpose of the community.
- You may not use the service if your account was permanently removed and PosMeet has not given written permission to return.
- PosMeet may restrict launch regions while privacy, safety, health and consumer-law requirements are being assessed.
If PosMeet ever serves minors
Your account and display identity
You do not need to publish a real name, face or diagnosis, but the account behind a contribution must remain accountable.
- Provide an email you control and an accurate adult confirmation.
- Keep one-time sign-in links private and tell us if you suspect unauthorized account use.
- A display name, preset avatar or anonymous contribution may be pseudonymous. Do not impersonate another person, clinic, charity, moderator, partner or PosMeet account.
- Do not create another account to evade a block, room removal, feature restriction or suspension.
“Anonymous” in the composer means anonymous to other members. PosMeet maintains a protected account relationship for blocks, moderation, abuse prevention, deletion and legal duties.
What PosMeet is—and is not
PosMeet is a structured peer-support community, not a medical service or a venue for sexual solicitation.
Community & Circles
Places to share lived experience, ask questions and join topic-led groups with clear audiences.
Hosted voice rooms
Topic-led social audio with visible hosts, room roles and moderation—not random call matching.
Private Journal
A personal reflection tool. It does not diagnose, monitor disease progression or replace clinical records.
Journey & keepsakes
An optional private record of eligible community participation, not a health score or measure of a person’s worth.
Medical and urgent-care boundary
Your content and the licence PosMeet needs
Ownership and operational permission are different things.
You retain the rights you have in text, images, voice notes and other content you create. You are responsible for having the right and consent to share it, including any information about another person.
You give PosMeet a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, format, transmit and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, moderate and improve the service you requested. This includes creating media derivatives, delivering a post to its selected audience and preserving a restricted report-time snapshot when content is reported.
The licence ends when the content is deleted, except for temporary caches or backups, a non-identifying conversation tombstone, material another member independently quoted, and narrowly retained safety or legal evidence described in the Privacy Policy. Private Journal and private feedback content are not licensed for public display.
No hidden AI or advertising licence
What you may not do
The detailed Community Standards give examples. These boundaries apply across posts, replies, profiles, images, Circles and rooms.
- Harass, threaten, shame, out, discriminate against or coordinate attacks on another person.
- Post someone else’s diagnosis, contact details, private messages, medical documents or intimate media without clear permission.
- Use PosMeet for hookups, sexual solicitation, coercion, grooming or repeated unwanted off-platform contact.
- Diagnose a member, prescribe treatment, promote a dangerous cure, or tell someone to ignore testing or qualified care.
- Sell medication, controlled substances or illegal services; commit fraud; solicit money; or recruit for research or commercial activity without written approval.
- Scrape, re-identify, profile, surveil or build datasets from member content, identities, health context or room attendance.
- Manipulate reactions, reports, levels or keepsakes; spam; evade enforcement; or interfere with the service.
- Upload malware, unlawful content, non-consensual intimate media, child sexual abuse material or content you have no right to share.
Sexual-health discussion is central to PosMeet. Sexualized targeting of another member is not. A conversation about disclosure, symptoms or intimacy does not become permission for flirtation, explicit media or private pressure.
Voice rooms and media
A live conversation can feel informal; the same privacy and conduct rules still apply.
- Follow the visible host or co-host’s speaking and safety directions.
- Listening without speaking is welcome. Do not pressure someone to unmute, disclose or move off-platform.
- Do not record, transcribe, rebroadcast or quote-identify another participant without explicit permission.
- Hosts may mute, move, remove or report participants to keep the room usable and safe.
- Do not upload identifying test forms, prescriptions, faces or intimate images belonging to another person.
Only rooms labelled Not recorded can be entered in the current Web Beta. PosMeet carries live audio but does not keep the conversation audio; room identity, attendance, role and moderation events may still be kept as limited safety records. Safety-buffer and recorded modes remain blocked until purpose, audience, retention and any required consent are handled in the entry flow—not only in these Terms.
Reports, moderation and enforcement
Report count is a signal, not automatic proof. PosMeet considers severity, context, intent, repetition, reach and account history.
Immediate control
Members can leave, mute, hide, block or report without first confronting the other person.
Education or warning
A private reminder, source request or formal warning may resolve lower-risk behavior.
Content or feature action
PosMeet may label, limit, lock or remove content, or restrict posting, images, hosting or voice participation.
Account action
Serious or repeated violations can lead to a temporary suspension or permanent removal.
Credible threats, serious doxxing, grooming, child sexual abuse material, non-consensual intimate media, severe fraud or ban evasion may skip directly to the strongest action and may be referred to appropriate authorities when required.
Where practical, a moderation notice should identify the affected content or behavior, the rule, the action, duration and review route. Reports are private and the reported member is not told who reported them.
A private, decision-specific appeal path
Leaving PosMeet or losing access
Hiding a profile, pausing Journey, suspension and account deletion have different effects.
You may stop using PosMeet at any time and can initiate account deletion from Account controls. A seven-day cooling-off period lets you cancel an accidental request before deletion processing starts. The Privacy Policy explains what is removed, tombstoned or narrowly retained.
PosMeet may temporarily restrict or permanently end access for a serious or repeated violation, legal requirement, security threat or material risk to another person. We should provide notice and a reason unless doing so would create a safety, legal or investigative risk.

The beta can reduce risk; it cannot guarantee accuracy, availability or confidentiality after another person receives a message.
- Peer content is not verified medical guidance and PosMeet does not endorse every member statement.
- Rooms and other live features may be interrupted by network, device or provider failures.
- No security system can eliminate every breach, inference, screenshot or unlawful recording.
- Third-party services such as email delivery, media hosting and real-time audio have their own infrastructure and terms.
- Nothing here excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
Formal warranty, liability, indemnity and dispute clauses must be drafted for the actual operating entity and launch jurisdictions. PosMeet should not import a broad template before those facts are settled.
Operating entity, governing law and changes
A real contract must identify the organization making it and how that organization can be reached.
The limited beta has not yet published the PosMeet operating entity, registered address, monitored legal contact, governing law or dispute venue. Until these are approved and inserted, this document is a transparent beta rule set—not a complete production agreement.
Signed-in members can currently use Help & feedback. Material changes will use a new version and effective date. PosMeet may ask members to review a new version before posting, speaking or uploading again.
